At Holmes we believe in team ministry. Our church's diverse membership is best served with the variety of gifts that our staff offers. Each minister works in tandem with the other and actively shares in every part of the congregation's ministry. Our staff pools their gifts and resources together in order to equip the whole congregation for the work of the ministry, which is to make disciples (Eph. 4:12, Matthew 28:19).
Cameron Holland – Minister
Cameron Holland has served at Holmes since June of 2007. Cameron graduated from Freed-Hardeman University in 2000 where he earned his degree in Bible with an emphasis in youth ministry. Cameron has a gift for working with people, showing compassion and offering acceptance. He works with our young families, new Christians, older members and preaches on a rotation with B. Chris, among other ministries. If you were to go into his office or talk to him during the college basketball season you might think he graduated from Duke University; he did not. Cameron was lucky enough to trick his wife Jessica into marrying him on February of 2014.
Vel Grundy – Administrative assistant
Vel Grundy joined the church staff in 2013 and has been a member at Holmes since 1988. As administrative assistant, Vel wears many hats. She enjoys greeting people daily whether they are members or those in need of food assistance, as well as, serving as the church's clerk. Some of her favorite things are reading, 1940s and 50s movies, and solitary walks in various parks in the area. Vel and Art have been married since 1983. Art is a deacon at Holmes Road they have two daughters, Monika and Lauren, who grew up at Holmes Road and returned to worship here after graduating from college.
Holmes Road is blessed by the godly leadership of our elders. These men have been chosen by the congregation to be the shepherds of the flock because of their spiritual examples and godly wisdom. They are dedicated to prayer and to the care of the people under their spiritual oversight. We appreciate the long hours of service they give to the nurturing of the flock.
